Phnom Penh, June 1, 2025 – United by a spirit of compassion and inclusion, the Run By Heart charity run—exclusively sponsored by Daiichi Life Cambodia—successfully concluded at the National Olympic Stadium, bringing together hundreds of supporters in a powerful show of solidarity for children with autism from The Rabbit School.

The day was filled with joy, energy, and unforgettable moments, including a special appearance by students from The Rabbit School, who were welcomed with enthusiastic cheers and heartfelt applause from the crowd.

The event was honored by the presence of H.E. Kim Rithy, Vice President of the Union of Youth Federations of Cambodia (UYFC); Mr. Mah Kin Yoong, CEO of Daiichi Life Cambodia; Mr. Oun Batham (Sai), Founder of Run With Sai; and Ms. Sor Sothearom, Director of The Rabbit School. Our special guests were joined by the Daiichi Life Cambodia management team and bank partners, the UYFC team, public figures, news reporters, and members of the general public.

Run By Heart was a vibrant celebration of empathy, awareness, and community spirit. The event aimed to raise funds and awareness for The Rabbit School, Cambodia’s pioneering institution supporting children with intellectual disabilities since 1997. Thanks to our full support, 100% of the registration proceeds will directly benefit the school’s meaningful work.

We were also proud to welcome overseas participants, members of Cambodia’s Japanese community, and supporters from all walks of life who joined the virtual run in support of The Rabbit School’s mission.

Mr. Mah Kin Yoong, CEO of Daiichi Life Cambodia, shared, “It was truly moving to witness our T.E.A.M, partners, and the wider community running alongside the children. Seeing their joy reminded us why our support is so important. It was a beautiful expression of hope. This event reflects our deep commitment to building a more inclusive and caring Cambodia, which aligns with our core value, ‘We care.’ We are proud to support The Rabbit School and Run With Sai in creating brighter futures for children with autism.”

Mr. Oun Batham (Sai), founder of Run With Sai, added, “This event surpassed all expectations. Watching children with autism proudly run among their supporters was profoundly emotional. The incredible support from Daiichi Life, UYFC, all our partners, and the public greatly strengthened the impact of our mission. Together, we’re creating a future where every child feels seen, supported, and celebrated.”

The Run By Heart charity run left more than footprints—it left a legacy of love, unity, and commitment to inclusion that will continue to uplift children with autism across Cambodia and beyond.
