11 January 2023 – Dai-ichi Life Cambodia donated USD 15,000 to the Angkor Hospital for Children to support the Hospital’s operation in providing good quality care and treatment to Cambodian babies.

The donation was held at the Angkor Hospital for Children by Dr. Ngoun Chanpheaktra, the Hospital’s Director and joined by Mr. Toshiaki Sumino, Director, Managing Executive Officer of Dai-ichi Life Holdings, Mr. Allen Thai, CEO of Dai-ichi Life Cambodia, and other distinguished guests.

This is the second donation to the Angkor Hospital for Children after the first in December 2022 through Dai-ichi Life’s “Donate and Protect” Campaign.

Mr. Allen Thai, CEO of Dai-ichi Life Cambodia, said: “We chose to donate to the Angkor Hospital for Children because we have a responsibility to the communities and because the Hospital’s work is closely aligned with Dai-ichi’s Social Responsibility Charter (DSR Charter) which includes values, such as “Promoting health” and “Social contribution”.

“We hope this contribution will help put the Hospital on a firmer financial foundation so that it can continue to enhance the healthcare system for Cambodian babies for generations to come,” he added.

Dr. Ngoun Chanpheaktra, said: “On behalf of the Hospital, I would like to extend great appreciation to Dai-ichi Life Cambodia for its continued act of kindness. The fund will support our mission to provide the best possible care to babies so that they have a happy and healthy childhood and grow up to be well-rounded adults.”
